SPA Skateparks Construction Services: New Braunfels, TX Skatepark

SPA Skateparks started construction of this top notch facility on Jan 21 09. The 17,500 sq ft skatepark was completed in June 09 and opened on June 20th. The large facility was designed by Wally Hollyday and is located off of IH 35 in south New Braunfels. The park boasts two large bowls, a park-style street course, and a full on snake run! Check out pictures of the entire process in the image gallery including the finished product. Thank you to everyone involved for helping to create yet another great Texas spot!

Jaws Skatepark came closer to becoming a reality Monday, after the New Braunfels City Council agreed to hire Austin’s SPA Skateparks to build the 17,000-square-foot facility.

Groundbreaking is scheduled for December at its future location at Eikel Park, on the corner of Grape and Spur streets.

The funding for the facility was raised by a local family through donations from the city of New Braunfels, the Tony Hawk Foundation, the Lower Colorado River Authority, the Downtown Rotary Club, the Wurstfest Association, the Community Development Block Grant and the New Braunfels Industrial Development Corporation.

The city pitched in the largest share, $225,000.

The skatepark is scheduled to be open in April.
