Stigler Oklahoma Skate Park

July 15, 2023 – The City of Stigler Oklahoma Skate Park held its skatepark grand opening event starting at 10am. Follow SPA Skateparks on Instagram or Facebook for Stigler skate park updates.

DESCRIPTION

“The skatepark will provide another incentive for local and area residents to remain in the area for recreation activities, and will encourage others from other areas to travel to Stigler”, Bobby Mouser (City Manager) said. – By Anita Reding, staff reporter – Stigler News-Sentinel

Visit the Stigler Skate Park located at the intersection of NE 8th St and NE B St near the City center. The new skate park has been designed for all ages and riders of all skill levels. And although called a “skate park”, the facility will cater to a range of non-motorized wheeled sports including skateboards, bikes, scooters, inline skates and even roller skates for those who choose to do so.

SKATEPARK TERRAIN

The 9,000 square feet skatepark in Stigler OK consists of a two-level plaza allowing for the down rail, banks, hubba ledge and 6 stair set. The upper section provides a flat slab area perfect for setting up for tricks or just warming up with some flat ground space. Conversely, the lower section of the plaza gets techy. A multi-height manual pad complex provides the opportunity to approach from all sides. So you can spend hours here and never do the same trick twice. A long flat ledge separates the manual pad from an A-frame with rail feature.

A bowl is separated from the plaza by a hybrid bank, quarter pipe wall that stretches the entire width of the skatepark. And a centrally located pump bump helps redirect riders to find different lanes without having to push. Finally, the bowl is at constant depth but has a deep corner created by an extension.

Oklahoma’s newest skate park will certainly draw tourists from all parts of the state and beyond – it’s less an hour away from Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Construction of the skatepark consisted of on-site fabricated metals, custom concrete formwork, and shotcrete with integrated colors.
