Skateparks aren’t only for skateboarders. Inline skates, bikes, scooters and quad skates are all frequent users of skateparks. So much so that we sometimes refer to skateparks as “all wheeled plazas”. And pump tracks are no different. Skatepark Construction Management (CM)
SPA Skateparks is more than just a skatepark designer and pump track designer. We are skatepark construction contractors too. Utilize our expertise for construction management and construction administration services. Construction progress visits at key milestones of the project ensures the project is built to specifications and to the quality intended. Other skatepark construction management services include procurement and contract administration, contactor qualification, RFI handlings, submittal reviews and contractor payment request approvals.
Sustainable Skatepark Design
SPA Skateparks is on the forefront of sustainable skatepark design and construction efforts, by developing and implementing environmentally friendly techniques. It is our collective responsibility. We are experienced in many types of skatepark drainage and storm systems including bio filtration planters and directional slab surface grading. Skate park specific light pollution reduction techniques are also considered (dark sky qualifications) and may include integral colored concrete and designated planter areas to minimize reflection from the built hardscape. The skatepark shotcrete process used to apply concrete to transitional and vertical walls and requires up to 50% less forming materials than traditional cast-in-place methods.
